What did you do this past week?

My team and I completed the requirements for phase 3 and turned it in on time. Some of the search implementations took a little a while but we got everything done. I also worked on my game technology project and studied for my geology test.

What’s in your way?

Last week was very busy for me so I’m glad this next week will be less stressful. I will use my extra free time to get a head start on all of my assignments. This way, hopefully, my next stressful week will be better due to the work I do this week.

What will you do next week?

I will review the material from last week’s lectures as well as start working on phase 4. I will also turn in my game technology project and finish my normal weekly homework. I also need to keep practicing coding interview questions and apply to more companies.

If you read it, what did you think of The Dependency Inversion Principle?

I thought the Dependency Inversion Principle was an interesting read and provided insight on how to properly structure programs.

What was your experience of relational algebra in Python? (this question will vary, week to week)

Previous to this week of classes, I had not done any relation algebra in python, but I found it fairly straightforward and easy to understand. I’m glad that Professor Downing is teaching this before we start SQL so that I can have a better understanding of the underlying functions taking place.

What made you happy this week?

I was happy to finish all of my work. I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish everything and was stressing out, but I eventually got it done and I am quite relieved. Also, Texas beat West Virginia yesterday and the game was really fun to watch.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick of the week is vitamin D pills. A lot of people have a vitamin D deficiency during the winter which can contribute to Seasonal Affective disorder. Taking these pills can improve your health and your mood.
